Many reptiles are unintentionally lost by their owners every year
these reptiles can fall easy prey to other animals.

Img of a leopard tortise that is badly deformed
This is a hybrid tortise that is a cross between an African Spur Thigh and a Leopard Tortise, he had been kept in an aquarium and fed a diet of lettuce. As a result he was severly malnourished and his shell was soft and rubbery. He had been abandoned at a pet store when the owner was unable to sell him. He recieved extensive calcium, vitamin and mineral supplimentation and after a year his shell finally had hardened and he found a new loving family.

Image of an abused and abandoned Savannah Monitor
This little Savannah Monitor was abandoned at a pet store. The owners admitted that she had not eaten in aproximatly 6 months. She was skin and bone, could not walk or open her eyes. She is being tube fed and is showing slow improvement, the mucsle tremors from her Calcium deficency have almost stopped and she is gaining strength daily. I was determined not to give up on her as long as she did not give up on herself!! We lost the battle after 4 months of tube feeding when her liver finally failed. She never opened her eyes for more than a few minutes at a time or gained enough strength to crawl more than a few inches!

Img of a dying Iguana
This poor Iguana was a family pet
When his owner left him at a pet store
She insisted that he was fine yesterday!!!

Img of a reticulated python
This Beautiful Retic was as calm and nice as the best Burmese
Shortly after her she went to her new home, she was discovered dead in her cage
The autopsy revieled a "No Pest Strip" lodged in her intestinal tract!
It was determined that she died of slow insecticide poisioning!
If her previous owners had been more careful, she would not have died!

This is not a Skink! This is a young Savannah Monitor that was turned in by it's owners who were trying to convert it into a vegetarian! Please Please Please! Learn about the type of reptile you want to purchase BEFORE you bring it home!!! He died a couple of hours after they brought him here, he could not move, open his eyes or lift his head! When I opened the box he was in I thought he was already dead!
