WRP2100404
Common Diamondback Rattlesnake
This snake was turned into the rescue by a local animal control agency after being turned in by someone who caught him last year as a baby and thought he would make an interesting pet???!!! Please Do Not Pick up and take home any Rattlesnake. There is a myth that you need to be especially careful with babies as they are more dangerous than adults due to their lack of control over their venom glands, this is untrue. Adults are more dangerous than babies because they can easily deliver more venom per bite than a baby.
He was re-released back into the wild on 4/24/2004 where he belongs.
